been on leave since 12th...

apart from de first 2 days, this break seems rather meaningless... stay at home oso is a rather boring thing.. apart from watching numerous videos, i oso cant think of wad else to do... 康熙来了, how i met your mother, iljimae (一枝梅) are de only activities for me at home liao..

how many times haf i said i wanna change le? perhaps no fewer than a hundred times le ba.. didnt i juz continue to remain de same? perhaps change requires lots of determination to carry out de ba.. i really dun understand alot of stuff in this world.. often wondering and thinking alot b4 and after i do stuff on whether wad i'm going to do/i've done is correct or wise thing to do.. too complicated for me to understand le.. simplicity may juz be de best for me... gonna do sth abt how i function..

cape no. 7 (海角七號) isnt really an impressive movie for me personally.. perhaps it's becoz of de lack of atmosphere and de small screen, or mayb becoz it's a movie that's made up of about 1/4 of japanese, 1/2 of hokkien and 1/4 of mandarin that me who's not multi-lingual hafta shuffle between de subtitles and main show.. i juz feel that the show is split into 2 different stories, the more moving part of the past whenever the 7 letters are read out, and the other part about the modern times.. the 2 stories arent really linked, except by the little link that the main guy character finally managed to send the package of the 7 letters to de old lady..

suddenly got a little dislike for dramas that are sad in the beginning, get even sadder in the middle, b4 finally happily ever after in the ending.. dun understand y muz let the audience get so sad and frustrated together with the main characters b4 things start to get better in the end.. although i suddenly got this dislike, i still start to catch shows like iljima and little nyonya.. mayb i'm juz really bored...

it feels like i've been trying to do a biology exam paper.. but the thing is i've nvr studied bio b4 in my life, not even in sec sch.. i'm juz so clueless, no idea wad shld i write down next..

good grief, i use exam as metaphor =/

anyway reached home today at 11.30pm, which is very very late book out.. becoz today is my brigade's anniversary and it started quite late, so ended late too.. luckily we were not involved in the parade itself, but as audience to the parade, so it wasnt too bad for us for the week... while sitting through the around 1-hr parade, many thoughts went thru my mind abt my stay here in army.. how i've changed, so so many many stuff i've encountered in my stay here, the ppl i've met, the events i was involved in etc etc... but i guess now may not be the best time to summarize this temporary pit-stop in my life, perhaps next month or de one after that would be a better time...

during the break after i came back from australia, i got quite interested in a particular taiwanese singer... he isnt new, though he juz released his first album this year june if i'm not wrong.. this guy is 蕭敬騰



initially when he juz got famous, i only knew he was from the taiwanese variety show 超級星光大道, which is their singing competition.. becoz i knew at that time who was the champion for season 1, i thought he was the champion for season 2 or a contestant from season 1 or sth.. but in de end when i can only find 3 episodes where he appeared in season 1, i was rather surprised, until i found out abt the format of the competition that i realised he was actually a guest singer that's used to PK the contestants so as to eliminate them.. it's quite difficult to explain it all but simply said, he only appeared in 3 episodes but that has caused him to become very famous and red hot in the taiwan music world..

his singing skill is so good that many ppl thought highly of him and even ah may (zhang hui mei) oso invited him to sing a duet wif her, even though at that time he hasnt released an album yet..

but wad i find so interesting is that he's extremely shy and he speaks very very little in the variety shows that he attended that the taiwanese media gave him the nickname "省话一哥" which means he saves wad he says or wad we normally say 'his mouth got gold'.. the way that he's so shy and doesnt speak alot and like to laugh alot i find it quite funny.. however, he becomes like a changed person whenever he starts singing... he becomes very confident and he has a very powerful voice.. it's like those typical main characters in manga or anime or novels who are very low-profile and quiet but become a different person when they show their true abilities... but of coz as of now, he has been in the entertainment world for more than a year alrdy, so he has changed to speak a little bit more and can interact wif the hosts more le..

below is an example of when he went to a variety show.. he speaks very little but starting from the 3min mark when he starts singing he's different and he's very good in the song 'one night in beijing' too.. it's perfectly fine if u dun watch coz this is juz an example..



for the whole variety show it's split into 10 different videos so mostly likely u wont wanna watch.. haha, but this sort of shows wad i did during my long break after australia...

lastly, to end off, here's a song from his album which i quite like.. it has a catchy tune, and seems to be a happy song from the tune but if u look at/listen to the lyrics, u'll realise actually it's a sad song... well, dun trust appearances eh?
