went out wif terry, ant and cj for awhile ytd.. we came to the topic of 'men', not in de sense of men and women that kind of men, more of the 'men' in the army, ie the lowest class of soldiers.. we were comparing between the men in mono-intake, and men that come from jc.. cj was saying how the former is better becoz they will do stuff, and is more into the idea of brotherhood or 同甘共苦, and how the latter is better at thinking of funny stuff, like how to chao keng, or siam arrows.. and i expressed my agreement in this idea, becoz i've seemed and heard much of this kinda stuff le.. terry is pretty new to this idea, partly becoz he's a spec on de offshore island, so he made a rather interesting comment abt these jc men..

"no wonder they can only be men"

haha, food for thoughts mayb? of coz he and i dun mean ALL jc men, but only a particular group..

for me, and i believe for many ppl my age now, life simply = sian.. first everyone was sian to be in the army, den now that we are out, we are sian becoz we have nth to do.. i believe once we got a job that will keep us busy for 5 days a week, we'll be sian that we only have de weekends free.. and once sch starts, we'll be sian becoz of de numerous lectures, tutorials, assignments, projects, presentations and of coz exams... mayb to quote from de facebook status of neo eng hong (i noe it sounds weird to name him fully, but i nvr call him eng hong b4, neither do i like to call him 2LT neo since he's out liao)

"work sian don't work sian stay home sian go out sian serious sian play sian"

this probably sums up our life.. or rather, my life..

random stuff:

-today is ridiculously hot, even when indoors and a fan is on constantly

-i feel sick today, though with no clear reasons

-i suspect it could be either i slept till abnormally late, or becoz of de youtiao (which is either too oily or left too long) this morning

-my appetite recently (after ord) has been bad.. tend to be not hungry most of de time.. mayb i shld skip a meal each day or sth

-and this idea of skipping meals sounds good now, especially i've an irritating ulcer on my tongue

-this afternoon is rather boring, with nth to do at all even with the comp on..

-which explains why i'm here though i have nth to say

okay, ytd was the last 'working' day of my nsf life.. no it isnt my ord day, coz u dun work on ur ord day rite? spent 1.5 days in camp this week, not exactly according to wad i planned, well actually alot of stuff were not in the plan at all...

had to do equipment check, and it was quite totally a joke... on monday was like 3/5 of the stuff, and ytd was de remaining stuff.. on monday wad i saw are juz lost sheep who simply didnt noe wad to do, and the 'lost sheep' basically refer to everyone.. the 'old birds' that day were me, jasbir and tony.. tony simply went off as the manpack team, and de rest simply duno how to do de check.. was quite exasperated by many stuff... first was the instruction "use the lecture room as the venue for the check, got aircon somemore", and as the 'little brothers' were pushed towards the lecture room, de only reply i have is "u go into lecture room how to comm check wif the manpack outside?".. second was wei²'s exclamation that his vehicular set can hear my set comm-ing out when he hadnt even fix the antenna on, but the thing is, my set and his set are side by side, so i can only =_=... third was oso wei², which was worse.. as i tried to comm tony, he kept clicking his 2 handset PTT, which i tink becoz he enjoyed listening to the click sound that comes out from my speakers..

after monday, which i tink i did more than half of de stuff, and that de whole thing on monday lasted 3hrs, on tues i didnt quite bother much le.. after lunch i juz sat at de manpack side and watched only a handful of ppl work.. the rest juz sit around and do nth, and 4 guys started playing 'catching', which i cant find an exact fitting adjective for it in a camp context..

ytd wasnt exactly a low profile one, coz almost everyone i met along the corridors will like 'wah good hor, last day liao' and stuff like that.. not that i'm really used to this kind of handshake thingy, but at least i've finished the admin stuff left in de bunk.. returned the cupboard to the original state it had been 1.5 years ago, and returned de stores to zhu liao, so at least the very very last day it wont be much of a hassle..

but today at home isnt really much of an excitement.. trying to find stuff to do is quite difficult.. played facebook poker for a while, watched ytd episode of 康熙來了, played a couple of missions for devil may cry 4, and finally juz finished watching the feb 01's episode of 舞林大道.. tot it would be de last episode for season 1, coz it's de battle for de final standings for season 1, but at de end of de show found out that there would be 1 more episode, sth like de reunion episode, where teams that were eliminated last time oso would come back for one final dance.. but de feb 01 episode is really very nice, where de 6 teams did an excellent job for their various genres of dance...

now that de end is near, perhaps shld start finding time to do some stuff le ba, regardless whether it's de conclusion of de end, or de search for a beginning..

packing of army stuff
booking of more lessons for driving (test is 2mths away, but only had one lesson so far? haha)
search for a part-time job
